Reekara wooden key holder.
The Reekara Primary School which closed at the end of 1997 is now used as a Community Complex which is maintained by the King Island Lions Club with the assistance of countless volunteers.
The wood used for this item has come from the actual walls of the Reekara Primary School. This wooden paneling can still be seen throughout the hallway and in both classrooms in the building. It has been recycled and put to use, to raise funds that will go back into helping maintain the building.
The image is of a photo of the school.
Approximately 27 cm x 14 cm.
Funds raised from the sale of these items will go towards various local Lions Club projects such as maintaining the Complex building.
